Saturday was beautiful and I spent the majority of the day with my mom shopping and browsing for the finishing touches on a much-needed bedroom decor redo. A mix of West Elm, Overstock, IKEA, and now Marshalls Home Goods have the project coming along quite well. Despite leaving the house with home shopping intentions we found ourselves with our latest closet treasures as well. The Others. The photos of mine that aren’t set up and aren’t choreographed. These are the shots that I get when I’m lugging my camera around with me to parties on the weekend, walking down the street, or even just unplanned photos that I take when I’m on location at an actual shoot. They are typically not composed creatively and shot with a tiny DOF, but done so intentionally as I find these features necessary to achieve what my main purpose behind these photos are.
My main goal with this photo was social commentary on alcohol. I have no problem with alcohol and drinking and getting drunk, It’s not really my thing anymore, but in saying that I have no problem with people that do it.
