Feature #124 Ricardo Barros Figueira ‘a mode of self-expression’

Street Photographer Blog

Ricardo Barros Figueira aka rbfigueira, was born in 1973 and living in Lisbon, Portugal. He is a computer programmer (full time) but  spends a significant amount of time doing street photography.
Street photography is all about telling stories, and also a mode of self-expression. When you look at the images of a street photographer, you are also getting a look into their soul. It fascinates to Ricardo because it gives him an opportunity to develop himself artistically and personally. On top of that, photography gives Ricardo a break from the daily routine and lets him see the world in other perspectives. He truly believes the digital SLR is not only a lot of fun, but also goes a long way in helping one to grow their skills.

Knife Man 2

Vitamin B party featuring Wes Smith

HIFI-PHOTOGRAPHY

Here are some photos of my homeboys dj gig at the House of Yes in Brooklyn a couple of weeks ago. He’s visiting NYC for a month from Cali where he’s been transplanted for a while. Was great catching up with my old dj buddies and doing some dance floor shuffles with a beer in my hand and some friends around me.. Good times..

Cafe chic

No, this is not Paris. I recently spotted this stylishly dressed lady outside a cafe Nero in Gloucester and snapped a candid as I walked by. I decided to give it a “Parisian street photo” feel by processing it to black and white.

Hope you like it.

The MTN Diaries 2 – Hardcore 2013

Bizarre Beyond Belief Magazine

Last year, MTN Colors released the first part of the MTN Diaries 2. They’ve come out with their second documentary “Hardcore 13”. Once again the MTN crew are taking the movie away from the galleries and onto the european metro systems. From train yards in Athens and Milan to street bombing, this video is all hardcore graff and no legal business.
